Environmental Genomics, Limnological Institute, Department of Biology, University of Konstanz, Germany
Laura Epp is Junior Professor for Environmental Genomics in Aquatic Systems at the University of Konstanz. In her work, she uses ancient environmental DNA, in particular from sedimentary deposits, to reconstruct the history of ecosystems and track species dynamics. After studying biology in Göttingen, she gained her PhD at the University of Potsdam and has since worked at the Natural History Museum, University of Oslo and the Alfred Wegener Institute Helmholtz Centre for Polar and Marine Research.
