Alina is a research associate at the conservation genetics section at the Senckenberg Research Institute and Natural History Museum Frankfurt. She is fascinated by the potential of natural history collections for conservation research in the era of genomics. Her research focuses on the investigation of anthropogenic effects on genetic population histories of wildlife, combining newly established genome-wide SNP marker systems with the resources of museum collections.
